ECTFE (Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene)

ECTFE, fully written as ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene, is a partially fluorinated and chlorinated thermoplastic polymer also known as a fluoropolymer. Due to its thermoplastic nature, ECTFE exhibits excellent processability, enabling welding capabilities. ECTFE is renowned for its exceptionally high chemical resistance. Originally designed, produced, and used to provide chemical resistance in severe corrosion applications, ECTFE also boasts excellent electrical properties. Additionally, it demonstrates good weather and radiation resistance and has a very low permeation rate.

Product Range of Profilplast in ECTFE

Profilplast offers a comprehensive range of ECTFE sheet materials. Being a high-performance material with extremely high chemical resistance, even in alkaline environments, ECTFE is a reliable solution widely used in the chemical industry.

Regarding ECTFE, Profilplast holds various certifications including DIN 4102 B1, indicating its low flammability.

ECTFE-GK

Profilplast also supplies ECTFE-GK sheet material, used, for instance, in tank lining applications. ECTFE-GK sheets are high-performance materials fully reinforced with fiberglass. The polyester layer on EFTCE-GK sheet material ensures good adhesion.

In the realm of ECTFE-GK, Profilplast also holds several certifications including DIN 4102 B1, signifying its low flammability and self-extinguishing properties.
